Choose the payment method before boarding
A physical PRESTO card or PRESTO in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet can carry the fare category needed for discounts. New cards default to adult. Staff at the Burlington Transit counter, a GO station or participating Shoppers Drug Mart can change the category and may ask for age identification.
A new physical card has a $4 administration fee. Register it with PRESTO to protect the balance. Burlington Transit cannot replace a lost card or refund stored PRESTO funds.

Transfers and GO connections
PRESTO and bank-card transfers are automatic. Use the same bank card throughout the journey. With cash, ask the driver for a paper transfer when paying. The two-hour window starts on the first bus and does not restart with each boarding.
Under One Fare, a GO trip can make the Burlington Transit connection free. Tap at both the GO station and bus. If the bus comes first, the bus fare is deducted from the GO fare. A valid GO single-ride ticket or day pass can also be shown to the bus driver.
