The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially minded analyst with hands-on experience turning Walmart sales and inventory data into actionable business recommendations. You will identify where sales are being constrained, quantify opportunities and recommend specific actions to improve sales, in-stock performance and promotional execution.
Working with the Sales Team Lead, you will independently investigate performance trends, bring solutions to the table and own follow-through with Walmart counterparts and internal teams. You will translate retail demand into inventory requirements, giving Supply and Operations clear visibility to demand changes, inventory risks and upcoming needs.
Success means explaining what is happening, recommending what to do next and measuring the result. Hands-on Walmart analytical experience is required. McKesson experience is an asset.
Responsibilities

Improve store availability
Identify authorized stores with insufficient inventory, no incoming orders or replenishment gaps. Recommend store and item actions using sales rate, weeks of supply, lead times and promotional demand.
Give Supply and Operations visibility
Translate Walmart sales trends, promotions and launches into inventory requirements. Maintain a regular view of demand changes, shortages and supply risks, with clear actions, owners and timelines.
Evaluate promotions and launches
Assess baseline sales, promotional lift, distribution and availability. Recommend inventory requirements and improvements for future execution, including seasonal demand and new products.
Own working relationships and follow-through
Lead day-to-day discussions with Walmart replenishment and analytical counterparts. Coordinate with McKesson where applicable and with internal teams to agree on actions and track issues through resolution.
Deliver the business story
Develop weekly and monthly scorecards and concise updates for buyer meetings, line reviews and internal planning. Explain performance drivers, risks, opportunities and next steps. Improve reporting efficiency and validate data accuracy.
