Help strengthen physician partnership and primary care.
We are looking for a Physician Affairs Coordinator to join our small, collaborative team, helping strengthen relationships, support physician leadership and advance the work of team-based primary care across our organization.
This is more than an administrative coordination role. You will work with physicians, organizational leaders and colleagues across the organization, gaining insight into primary care and organizational leadership while contributing to projects and initiatives that improve how we work together.
You will have opportunities to learn, contribute ideas, develop your skills and take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.
What you'll do
- Support physician onboarding, admissions, transitions and engagement activities.
- Coordinate physician meetings, committees, communications and follow-up.
- Support credentialing, records and other important physician-related processes.
- Work with physicians and organizational colleagues to coordinate information, resolve issues and move work forward.
- Contribute to projects, process improvements and new initiatives within Physician Affairs.
- Prepare communications, reports and materials for physicians and leaders.
- Identify opportunities to make our processes and systems better.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who is curious, capable and comfortable with complexity.
You bring:
- Post-secondary education in a health-related field, business administration, or other relevant combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with family physician practices and operations or experience working within a primary care or community health setting is an asset
- Familiarity with physician credentialing, licensing bodies (e.g., CPSO), and FHO/FHT funding structures is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with dashboards.
- Good judgment and can navigate competing priorities and incomplete information.
- Ability figuring out problems rather than waiting for someone else to solve them.
- Initiative, follow through and know when to ask for help.
- Strong, respectful relationships and communicate with warmth and professionalism.
- Ability to see both the details and the bigger picture.
- Comfort adapting when priorities change.
- Willingness to respectfully challenge an idea and suggest a better approach.
- Positive attitude, perspective and a sense of humour to the work.
- Experience in healthcare, primary care or a similarly complex environment is an asset. We are equally interested in your potential, curiosity and approach to the work.
