The role
You will be the first face of Ceres in your community. You visit local businesses, make cold calls, listen for the problems that AI can solve, and book discovery meetings with our founder. You do not need to understand AI deeply. You need to be curious, honest and good with people, and we train you on what you need.
What you will be introducing
Our primary focus is the Ceres AI receptionist. It answers a business's routine calls and enquiries when staff are busy or the office is closed, so that fewer customers reach voicemail and fewer staff hours go to the phone. Ceres sets it up for each business and tests it in a 2–3 week pilot, and our founder runs the scoping and the pitch. Ceres also designs other AI solutions. If you hear a need beyond the receptionist, log it and pass it on. You never quote prices or promise results.
Who we want you to reach
We are looking for small and mid-sized businesses where the phone matters and calls get missed:
- Home and trade services: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, landscaping and cleaning
- Auto repair, dealerships and tire shops
- Real estate brokerages and property management
- Law, accounting, insurance and mortgage offices
- Salons, barbershops and fitness studios
- Restaurants and hospitality
- Retail, showrooms and distributors that take orders or enquiries by phone
Good prospects have 3 to 50 staff and miss calls at busy times or after hours, book by phone, or have one person juggling the phone and the front desk.
Health care and dental clinics are coming later. We plan to serve them next, and we are finishing our privacy policy and deployment plan first. Until we announce that, we do not approach clinics, and we never discuss patient information.
What you will do
- Build your own prospect list from your existing network, local directories and the businesses on your route, and plan visit routes with our Google Maps–based tracker, up to 10 stops a trip
- Visit businesses and make cold calls from a business-only SIM we supply
- Introduce the AI receptionist in a short, respectful conversation with owners and managers, and ask questions before you pitch
- Qualify what you hear: how many calls they miss, how they book, who answers the phone, and what that costs them
- Book 20-minute discovery meetings for our founder and pass on full notes
- Log every visit and call on the same day, with the prospect's own words and a clear next step
- Keep your follow-up promises by the date you set
- Respect do-not-contact requests and follow our privacy and compliance policies
What we expect from you
- Activity: a typical week is about 12 visits, 50 calls and 3 meetings booked. We review it together for 15 minutes every Friday
- Quality: complete, honest reports. A report that does not match what happened is the most serious failure
- Honesty: you never promise results, quote prices, or make claims about privacy, security or health information
- Responsiveness: you reply to leads and to Ceres within one business day
- Professionalism: you are the face of Ceres, so you are punctual, respectful and prepared
- Ownership: you manage your own time, routes and records, and tell us early when something is not working
